Blue Bird Boxes & Rain BarrelsThe Blue Bird boxes were made from rough cut lumber this year with the help of Chemung SWCD.
Price: $7.50 The rain barrels are 55 gallons heavy plastic barrels with a screen inlet for the downspout and a spigot for a hose on the bottom. Price: $40 Fertilizer TabsThese are slow releasing fertilizers that will not cause root burn. Use one tablet in each planting hole, 2 inches below the roots. Will fertilize the plants for up to three years.

Weed MatsThese tree mats are 3'x3' and they come with 4 staples. The mats have a pre-cut slit in the center for easy installation over the seedling. The material is light weight, durable polyethylene film that allows rainfall and moisture to flow through the mat while blocking the sunlight and preventing weed growth. Provides 3 years of continuous weed control and encouraging a healthier and faster seedling growth.
