How to Apply for USDA-NRCS Conservation Programs
Although Congress is currently working on the farm bill, our 2012 federal fiscal year will end on September 30, 2012. On October 1, 2012, we will be beginning the new 2013 federal fiscal year and with that date we will soon begin a new sign-up period for USDA-NRCS programs and practices. As part of the application process, potential participants need to meet USDA eligibility requirements. The New York State NRCS web site has excellent information. Using the link below it provides information about steps involved with the sign-up and eligibility requirements and includes links to the forms needed as well as the different conservation programs and practices:

Ben's Last Day
Ben Bonk, Our NRCS Student Intern from SUNY Cobleskill Student Intern, last day was on September 6, 2012. Ben’s internship was part of his final coursework requirement before graduating with a Bachelors of Technology Degree. Ben has been a big help to the office and great to work with. We wish Ben well in his future travels.
