Flexi-Pave Demonstration Project
We were able to secure funding to install a unique demonstration project at the Lee Harlan Soil and Water Conservation Center. We installed a porous walkway, called flexi-pave. This walk way is made of recycled tires and installed similar to the way you would install a concrete walk. This walk way will allow for vast amounts of water to infiltrate back into the ground. It is very important to consider practices like this one to help combat runoff caused by impervious surfaces from development. The more storm flows we can infiltrate back into ground water, the less issue and impacts from flooding we will all face.
