Fish Stocking Program
The district now offers two fish sales a year with one in the Spring and one in the Fall. Each sale provides a different assortment of fish along with fish food and pond supplies. Below you will find descriptions of what is being offered during our Spring Sale.
Spring Fish Sale
Deadline to order is May 1, 2019
Delivery Date: May 10, 2019
Delivery Location: Lee Harlan Soil and Water Conservation Center

Delivery Time: 11:00am-12:00pm
**Fish will be delivered in boxes with oxygen injected water.
No Container is needed when picking up.
**Don't forget to apply for any permits needed if purchasing fish. See below for more information**
**If purchasing Grass Carp, your permit must be included with your order.**
When placing an order for fish, there is a 15% packaging and delivery fee just for the fish cost. This will NOT include the pond treatments. Also, be sure to only calculate the 8% tax just for the total fish cost combined (without the fee) with the total products cost. The packaging and delivery fee does not get charged tax. The packaging and delivery fee needs to be added to the total cost after calculating the tax. If you have any questions please call our office at (607)535-0878.

These pellets provide a natural and organic way to keep the water clear. They slowly release beneficial ingredients as it biodegrades. This process is similar to applying the barley straw bales, but with this pellet form it makes it much easier and quicker to apply.

NYS Permit Information For Stocking Fish
If you would like to purchase Grass Carp, you MUST have a Grass Carp Stocking Permit prior to pickup. You can obtain an application by going to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) website or at the link below. The permit is free and its duration is from March 1st to November 30th.
We also ask that you apply for your NYSDEC Fish Stocking Permit which is required to stock fish in any waterbody of 10 acres or more. The application can be found at the link below or on the NYSDEC's website. You may also consider applying for the Farm Fish Pond License which is needed for ponds less than 10 acres. Both permits are free and last up to 5 years.
